The curriculum ladder

One idea, taught at four depths.

Each level is a term-length block you can slot into your year. Same idea, climbing — so a school that starts young carries students all the way up.

  1. Grades 1–3

    Robotics

    12 sessions · hands-on

    Discover the machine. Children become the robot before they program one — senses, steps, gears, and a real robot to drive.

    Explorers

    8 sessions · about one term

    Machines obey exactly. Students command a machine, build a real question, and catch AI being wrong.

    Trainers

    10 sessions · one long term

    Machines learn from examples — and must be checked. They train a model, break it, and fix it.

    Builders

    14 sessions

    Machines can be built with, directed, and judged. Teams run as start-ups and ship a real project.

Every session, the same rhythm

A 50-minute shape that never changes.

The activities grow with age. The rhythm stays put — so students always know where they are, and any teacher can run the room.

Safeguarding & data

Safety is a design decision — and it's written down.

These are the rules the programme is built on — the ones your safeguarding lead will want to see before anything runs.

  • No accounts under 13 — younger pupils work on supervised, walled screens.
  • Account creation is taught later, from grade 8–9, as part of the lesson.
  • Sessions are supervised throughout; the room is always led.

Proof of learning

"How do you know they learned?" This is the answer.

Every Jeel programme carries an assessment layer, so learning is something you can see on paper and watch in a room — not something you hope happened.

Schools ask the hard question, and they should. Jeel answers it three ways: a check every session, a rubric every level, and a public demonstration at the end.

A 2-minute exit ticket

Each session ends with one question, one earned word, and one "I caught the AI doing X." A running record of what stuck.

A can-do rubric per level

A simple, plain-language rubric of what a student at each level can actually do — easy to share with staff and parents.

The Jeel Exhibition

A public event where parents watch students demonstrate the skills themselves. The proof is in the room.
